Biology Week

Our recent Biology Week got off to a fantastic start as students and members of the local community were joined by Simon Airey from Corner Exotics who came in with 35 different species of animals for the children to meet and learn how to handle.

Simon covered a variety of topics during the afternoon including: climate change, biodiversity and evolution. The audience were informed as to how they could save these animals from extinction and some people even managed to face their fears by holding snakes, tarantulas and cockroaches!

Biology week concluded with a fantastic falconry display! Lisa from Shropshire Falconry brought a white faced owl, Bengal eagle owl and a long eared owl for students and guests to fly in the gym!
