Movement of Tutor Time

At The Grove we are proud of our tutor programme and the support it offers students. Tutor time is used to deliver a number of educational programmes; to discuss key issues around health and emotional well-being; to monitor progress and attendance; to recognise and acknowledge hard work and effort; and to ensure all students are prepared for the day ahead.

In recognition of this we are moving Tutor time to the start of the day. The school day will remain the same, starting at 8:40am and finishing at 3:00pm. Tutor time will move to the start and consequently periods 1 and 2 will move forward. Break and Lunch will be at the same time.

From Monday 2nd December the day will be as follows:

8:40  – 9:00 Tutor

9:00 – 10:00 Period 1

10:00 – 11:00 – Period 2

11:00 – 11:20 Break

11:20 – 12:20 Period 3

12:20 – 13:15 Period 4

13:15 – 1:45 Lunch

1:45 – 2:05 DEAR

2:05 – 3:00  Period 5

This will allow tutors greater opportunities to ensure students are prepared for learning and improve opportunities to support students where needed. If you have any questions concerning the change please feel free to attend the parent drop in session on Thursday’s of week A.
