The Grove School, Market Drayton which is part of the Marches Academy Trust, is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted for the Midlands Region ARC Timpson Award for Trauma Informed Practice, recognising the school’s outstanding commitment to supporting the wellbeing and emotional development of its children and young people.

The ARC Timpson Awards celebrate organisations and education settings that demonstrate exceptional dedication to trauma informed approaches, creating environments where children and young people feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

Being shortlisted is a significant achievement and reflects the hard work, compassion and commitment shown by staff across The Grove School in embedding trauma informed practices into everyday school life.

Headteacher Mitch Allsopp said: “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for this award. At The Grove School, we believe that understanding and supporting the emotional needs of our children and young people is fundamental to helping every child succeed. Though always improving as a school, we see this recognition true testament to the dedication of all members of Team Grove and a blueprint for our future success.”

The school has worked extensively to develop nurturing approaches that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive relationships, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
