Guinness World Record Holders!

We did it! We are super proud to announce that we are now official holders of the Guinness World Record for the most people decorating gingerbread men simultaneously! The record attempt took place as part of last year’s Market Drayton Ginger and Spice Festival.

A big well done to all 300 students at The Grove School from Years 7 and 8 and the 28 Year 6 pupils from Longlands Community Primary School who took part. They had to each decorate a gingerbread man biscuit featuring two eyes, a mouth and three buttons all at the same time to gain the record.

A big thank you to the Ginger and Spice Festival, Jana Jacobson and volunteers who made the attempt happen. Mrs Roberts from The Grove appeared on BBC Radio Shropshire earlier today to talk about the achievement, here is the clip if you missed it.
